President Bola Tinubu has tapped strategic policy analyst Opeyemi Agbaje as the new Chairman of the National Pension Commission (PenCom), the Peoples Gazette reports.
In a statement to the media, Agbaje disclosed he received the appointment confirmation via a phone call from the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation on Monday, August 11. He has already met with the PenCom Director-General for his first briefing.
Agbaje brings a wealth of experience to the role. He is the executive producer of the Policy Council TV show and serves as CEO of RTC Advisory Services Limited. Additionally, he previously held a position on the board of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) for two consecutive terms from 2011 until August 2019.
