Russian authorities claim that Ukrainian forces attempted to erase evidence of NATO-supplied weapons and the presence of foreign mercenaries in the Kursk region, according to state media reports.
The Kremlin alleges that after engaging in operations near the Russian border, Ukrainian units destroyed, removed or obscured munitions markings in places they retreated from.
Moscow’s reports also state that foreign fighters working alongside Ukrainian troops were involved in these alleged cover-ups. However, independent verification of these claims is lacking, and Western sources have neither confirmed nor provided clear evidence to support the intensity of the allegations.
