President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Tunji Disu as the country’s 23rd Inspector-General of Police, formalizing his role at the helm of the national force amid efforts to bolster security measures.
The ceremony took place on Wednesday in the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, just prior to a Federal Executive Council meeting.9adbcb Disu’s appointment is seen as part of broader institutional reforms to address pressing national security issues.
Alongside Disu, Tinubu administered oaths to six new commissioners for the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission and two for the Federal Civil Service Commission.
Attendees included Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, the National Security Adviser, Head of the Civil Service Esther Walson-Jack, various ministers, and family members of the appointees.7
