Anambra Speaker ‘Udeze’ Felicitates Muslims On Eid-El-Fitr Celebration

As Muslims all over the world celebrate the Eid-El-Fitr, the Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has urged Nigerians to reject divisive narratives and leverage the country’s diversity even in religion as a strength, and renew their hope for a secure nation and prosperous future of Nigerian masses.

In his Goodwill Message to Muslim faithful on Eid-El-Fitr celebration, Rt. Hon. Udeze enjoined them to prioritize the growth and development of the country by pursuing peace and unity at all times.

The Speaker noted that with religious bigotry and dichotomy, the country will lack progress, urged Muslims to coexist harmoniously with their Christian brothers and accommodate their religious differences with one faith in God.

He encouraged Muslims to put into practice the lessons they learned from Ramadan by showing love to one another and to the Christians, as according to him, love drives away hatred, envy, anger as well as other vices and corrupt tendencies.

Rt. Hon. Udeze commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the spirit of ecumenism, hospitality and oneness he has continued to extend to the Muslim Community in the State and enjoined them to reciprocate the gesture by giving more support to the Governor and ensuring peace at all times.
