Content creator Jarvis has defended her relationship with streamer Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, insisting that money cannot buy her love and that his lavish spending during their recent Maldives trip stems from genuine affection and family approval.
In a viral video addressing critics who questioned the couple’s romance amid online drama involving Peller and fellow creator Carter Efe, Jarvis clarified the nature of their bond.
“Peller knows money cannot buy my love. Even Habeeb knows that money cannot buy Jarvis. He just spends on me because I deserve to be loved and spoiled. And yes, I deserve it,” she stated.
Jarvis admitted she previously resisted Peller’s spending but now embraces it because their relationship has become clearly defined. “Everyone knows I never liked him spending on me before, but now I enjoy it. That’s because I did not know how defined the relationship was but now the relationship is defined,” she explained.
She pointed to family involvement as a key factor in her peace of mind. “Do you know why? Family is involved, of course. Family approved, his own side approved. So what should I be saying? ‘No, don’t spend on me. Don’t do this’? It’s approved. My mind has calmed down because I know where we are walking to, where we are leading to,” Jarvis added.
Emphasising the seriousness of their connection, she declared: “Excuse you — this is not a roadside relationship.”
The comments come after the couple’s high-profile trip to the Maldives, which sparked widespread online debate about spending priorities and relationship dynamics in the Nigerian social media space.
Jarvis stressed that Peller now acts as a “real man” in the relationship, a shift she attributes to the formal approval and direction they have established together.
The pair have been one of the most talked-about couples among Nigerian internet personalities, with their public displays of affection and occasional controversies frequently trending on social media.
