Soludo’s Wife Encourage Subsistence Farming, To Distribute 5,000 Seed Packs

…25,000 packs had so far been shared since 2024

Anambra First lady, Dr. Nonye Soludo has promised to support and encourage individuals in the State desirous of owning household garden or embrace subsistence farming with 5,000 packs of Hybrid Non-GMO seeds.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
Soludo’s wife who made the pledge on Friday, said the seeds would assist individuals and families grow organic and healthy foods right from their homes and communities.

The First lady listed content of each of the carefully selected seeds to include corn, green vegetables, cabbage, pepper, tomatoes and okra.

According to her, embracing home gardening is not only a step towards healthy living, but also a practical pathway to food sufficiency and economic support for every household.

“As the annual rainy season farming begins, i am delighted to once again, support and encourage passionate individuals in Anambra State who desire to own a household garden or embrace subsistence farming through the distribution of 5,000 packs of Hybrid Non-GMO seeds to passionate and interested individuals.

“Together, let’s cultivate healthier homes, greener communities, and a more food-secure Anambra State. We can do that. I strongly believe that we can! Embrace this opportunity,” she added.

While disclosing that over 25,000 packs had so far been shared since 2024, the governor’s wife said details of the distribution process would soon be made.
