Davido Decries Alleged Move to Deregister Accord Party Ahead of Osun 2026 Race

Music star Davido has criticised an alleged attempt to deregister the Accord Party ahead of the 2026 governorship election in Osun State.

The award-winning artiste reacted after reports surfaced claiming that political actors were pushing for the removal of the opposition party from the electoral process ahead of the next polls.

Davido questioned the motives for deregistration and advocated for a free and fair election.

He wrote, “Deregister Accord party for what? Cowards let’s go to the field.”

This is coming 48 hours after Davido called out Gboyega Oyetola, the minister of Marine and Blue Economy, and the immediate past governor of the state, over an alleged desperate plan.

The Osun State governorship election is scheduled for August 15, 2026.
