The organisers of the prestigious Anambra Man of the Year (AMTY) Awards have announced renowned media executive, communications scholar, and education leader, Dr. Uche Nworah, as the official host of the 2026 edition of the awards.
Dr. Nworah, a former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), President of Charlton Business School, Abuja, and convener of Anambra First and Anambra Connect, will serve as master of ceremonies for the fifth edition of the awards.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Stanel Dome, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
A respected broadcaster, author, and public affairs communicator, Dr. Nworah is widely recognised for his contributions to broadcasting, strategic communication, education, and the promotion of Igbo culture.
Organisers said his appointment is expected to bring added prestige and professionalism to the awards ceremony, which has become one of Anambra State’s leading platforms for recognising excellence in leadership, enterprise, innovation, and public service.
The 2026 edition, themed “Unstoppable Anambra,” will honour outstanding sons and daughters of the state whose achievements continue to drive development and inspire excellence within Nigeria and across the diaspora.
The event will be chaired by Prof. Joe Ezigbo, founder of Falcon Corporation, and is expected to attract government officials, business leaders, traditional rulers, professionals, entrepreneurs, and other distinguished guests from across Nigeria and beyond.
