Canada Opens Doors to Skilled Nigerian in Push For Carpenters, Plumbers

Canada is actively seeking skilled trades workers, including carpenters and plumbers from Nigeria and other countries, to help build its communities, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has announced.

In a social media post, IRCC highlighted opportunities for those with relevant training and experience.

“Canada is seeking skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, plumbers and machinists, to build our communities,” the agency said.

It urged interested Nigerians and other immigrants to explore immigration pathways. “If you have the training, credentials and experience in the skilled trades we’re looking for, explore our immigration pathways and build your future in Canada,” IRCC added.

The initiative aims to address labour shortages in key construction and technical sectors, offering a route for qualified professionals to relocate and contribute to Canada’s development. Further details are available on the IRCC website.
