The traditional ruler of Ndiokpaleze, Eze Frederick Okoli has expressed deep appreciation to the former Executive Chairman of the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, ASUBEB, Awka, Dr. Vera Nkiru Nwadinobi for overseeing the building of the Solution Model Secondary school, Ndiokpaleze from scratch to completion.
Eze Okoli stated this during the new yam festival, 2026 of Ndiokpaleze held at his Palace, describing Dr. Nwadinobi as a unique, kind hearted, God-fearing, and elegant daughter whose footprints in Ndiokpaleze can never be forgotten.
According to Eze Okoli, Ndiokpaleze had no secondary school over the years, leading to their children trekking long distances to acquire secondary education until the approval of the Solution Model Secondary School, at Ndiokpaleze during the first term of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, under the UBEC-ASUBEB counterpart fund interventions in providing conducive learning environment for learners in Anambra State basic schools.
“The building of a Secondary School in my town has enhanced both basic and secondary education for our children and ended the long trekking to neighbouring communities”, he stated.
Continuing, the Royal father of Ndiokpaleze noted that the community honoured Dr. Nwadinobi with a chieftaincy title as ‘Ada Ugo Okwaeze’ of Ndiokpaleze and prayed God to lead her to the zenith of her career.
Responding, Ada Ugo Okwaeze, Dr. Vera Nkiru Nwadinobi thanked Eze Ndiokpaleze for appreciating her little efforts for the town while in ASUBEB and prayed God to bless him with wisdom, good health and long life.
Among the dignitaries present at the event were the Deputy Chairman of the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council and the Deputy Chairman, Anambra North Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Dr. Benjamin Onukwube Okeji of Omasi, and Igwe Simeon Ikechukwu Chidubem of Umumbo, among other traditional rulers, and other prominent community leaders of Ndiokpaleze.
