The government of Anambra state has announces that the monthly sanitation exercise for the month of December will hold on Saturday 17th December 2022.
In a release signed by Commissioner for Information Sir Paul Nwosu made available to ANN, Ndị Anambra urged to participate in this month’s exercise by desilting their drainage systems, cutting the bushes around their property and businesses places, as well as generally keeping their surroundings neat and clean.
According to the State Waste Management Agency, ASWAMA led by it’s Managing Director, Engr. Mike Ozoemena, the sanitation exercise for the month of December, 2022 will hold on the 17th between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 am.
Being the last sanitation exercise for the year, this is to ensure that the nooks and crannies of Anambra are kept clean during this year’s yuletide and new year celebrations.
Also, in line with the door to door policy of the state government, Ndị Anambra are enjoined to bag their wastes and keep in front of their houses, from where ASWAMA will make collection and dispose of them, appropriately.
It will be recall that human and vehicular movements are usually restricted during sanitation exercises; the December exercise will not be an exception as offenders will be arrested and prosecuted according to the law.
