* The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has rejected the promise of the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to stand as surety for it’s leader, Nnamdi Kanu to be released. IPOB said the stage where it’s leader needed surety for any bail has passed, and that at this point, Kanu has been discharged and acquitted of every charge, and that the call should rather be for the federal government to respect its own court and grant the detained separatist freedom. The media and publicity secretary of the group, Mr Emma Powerful in a press release made available to journalists said: ” We welcome the call by the Governor of Anambra State-Governor Charles Soludo for the unconditional release of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

* Police Operatives in conjunction with the Vigilante group and acting on credible information at New Site, Ikpo Urueze Land, Oba, Idemili south LGA in Anambra state arrested nine persons, recovered a truck containing, seven welding machines, some irons, and other sophisticated equipment after they vandalize the Electricity Power line mast in the above-mentioned location.

* Owelle-Ukwu primary school Umueri Ogbunike, in Oyi local government area of Anambra state, is currently under the captivity of armed robbers who capitalise on the lack of perimeter fencing of the school to constantly unleash terror and mayhem on teachers and pupils. The school, which was built in the 50s, is owned by the Anambra State Government. Yet it has remained unfenced ever since and has continued to be a prey for hoodlums who invade the massive school compound to feast on it.

* The TC Chairman of Anaocha LGA, Hon Gerald Ikechukwu Ozoh (Mmili) has urged the party stakeholders to deliver their polling units for the party in the 2023 general elections. He made the statement during a meeting of Dozie Nwankwo Campaign Council at Anaocha LGA organized and hosted by Barr Ndubuisi Obiadi (Ide), Anaocha APGA Chairman

* The member representing Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Hon Barr Vincent Ekene Ofumelu has congratulated Prophet Maduabuchi Udegbunam, pastor of The True Covenant of God Sabbath Mission Ogwashi Uku, Delta State as he celebrates the anniversary of his birthday today 16th January 2023. In his congratulatory message, Hon Ofumelu thanked God for his life as he joined well wishers to celebrate the God servant who he described as a jewel of inestimable value to the body of Christ and a man of impeccable character. 

*Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR has paid glowing tributes to the sacrifices of the fallen heroes of the Nigerian Armed Forces. Governor Soludo gave the commendation during the Wreath Laying Ceremony to commemorate the 2023 Armed Forces Day at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka. The Governor described the day as an opportunity for sober reflection.

* Anambra State chapter Chairman, Labour Party Hon. Emeh Ugochukwu Emmanuel says antagonism of the leadership of Anambra State Government against the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, H.E Peter Obi, has been carried to higher level. Emeh in a press release stated that against the spirit of live and lets live, the Labour Party were discriminately slammed with unprecedented charges to discourage them from projecting H.E Peter Obi

* The candidate of Young Progressives Party (YPP) for Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo  Federal Constituency  in the forthcoming election, Hon. Amb. Peter Ifeanyi Uzokwe has described his party, YPP, as a Party without any virus. Uzokwe in an interview with reporters said YPP will be victorious at the coming general elections

* The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB, have expressed concern over a Fulani terrorist invasion of Anambra state. The group claims that intelligence information at their disposal informed them of the terrorists’ plans to assault the Nnewi and Awka communities in the state in a statement signed by its media and publicity secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful.

* The member representing Dunukofia, Anaocha, and Njikoka Federal Constituency and APGA candidate for Senate, Anambra Central, Hon. Dozie Ferdinand Nwankwo, has congratulated Gov. Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, on his appointment as the National Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA. Onyendozi described the appointment, ratified by the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party, and presided over by the National Chairman, Ozonkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye, as meritorious and well-deserved.

* Senator representing Anambra Central at the National Assembly, Senator Uche Ekwunife has written a strong worded letter to the traditional ruler of Enugwu-Ukwu community,Igwe Sir Ralph Ekpeh to caution Mr Dozie Nwankwo to desist from further harrasment of some of her supporters in the community. Dozie Nwankwo who is currently representing Same constituency at the green chambers is also eyeing to take over the senate seat from Ekwunife.

* Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, (HURIWA), a civil rights advocacy group have backed Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State and Senate Chief Whip Orji Uzo Kālu on the urgent need for the Federal Government to unconditionally release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
