Adesanya vows to beat Du Plessis “until he’s black” over African comments

Du Plessis said he plans to become the first UFC fighter to bring a world title to Africa and Adesanya, who was born in Nigeria, has slammed him for the comments

Israel Adesanya has controversially vowed to beat up UFC rival Dricus Du Plessis “until he is black” for comments he made about being the first African champion in the promotion.

Du Plessis asked if Adesanya and Kamaru Usman’s UFC world titles ever went to Africa as the two fighters are African-born but reside in America and New Zealand respectively. Both Adesanya and Usman have since given scathing responses to Du Plessis questioning their nationality and ‘The Last Stylebender’ has vowed to torture Du Plessis, who is born and raised in South Africa, for his comments.

“I already talked to Dana [White], tried to set up some things:” Adesanya said on his YouTube channel. “I never discredited him as an African. You want to make a fight? Cool. But the fact that as a f****** cracker, to tell me who the f*** I am, that p***ed me off, and that’s why he’s my next fight. I don’t want to fight anyone else.

“I’m going to f****** take him to school, in the octagon and on history. I’m going to f****** beat him until he’s black. I have never questioned him as an African because yeah, you were born in Africa. South Africa. Of course you’re an African. I have never questioned that, but who the f*** is this cracker to tell me who the f*** I am? What he’s doing is creating divide.”

‘The Last Stylebender’ is hoping that Du Plessis wins his upcoming fight against Robert Whittaker at UFC 290 in July so the Nigerian-born Kiwi can defend his 185lb belt against him. Adesanya continued to slam Du Plessis for his comments about Africa by stating: “As a product of colonisation, you’re trying to tell me who the f*** I am.

“You can take the boy out of Africa, but you can never take the Africa out of the boy. I’m going to f*** this guy up. I’m going to torture this guy. You don’t have to create division. This is not the time for that s***. You could have definitely got the fight without talking all that s***. Well, be careful what you wish for. You got what you want. He’s next.”
