The Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Godwin Iguh Eze, has formally assumed duty on as the 9th substanstive Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of zone 13 Ukpo Dunukofia LGA of Anambra State.
AIG Godwin Iguh Eze takes over the leadership of the zone, with a wealth of professional experience, having served in various operational, investigative and administrative capacities in the force. His contributions to internal security and police reforms have been significant.
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that
the new AIG was until his appointment and posting to zone 13 Ukpo, the AIG Administration Department of finance and Administration, Force Headquarters Abuja.
AIG Eze had earlier served as the commissioner of police in charge of Special Enquiry Bureau, Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCIID) Alagbon close, Ikoyi Lagos.
Eze holds a Bachelor degree in History/Education from the University of Benin, Benin city. He is married with children.
AIG Godwin Eze is a highly dedicated, seasoned and well grounded senior officer with wide experiences in the Job.
The AIG encourages the good people of Anambra and Enugu states to remain law abiding and continue to support the zone with timely and useful information to help the zone in maintaining public law and order.
On Friday, 1st May 2026, the AIG held an inaugural lecture which was held at the zone 13 premises where the zonal management, Heads of Department, officers and men of the zone were present .
During the lecture, the AIG emphasized on the need for discipline and alertness among officers and men of the zone.
AIG Godwin also talked about observing human rights and maintaining the right of suspects.
The zonal commander under the new leadership of AIG Godwin Iguh Eze remains resolute in maintaining law and protection of life and properties.
