Recall that a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Wuse had on June 3 remanded Nwachukwu at the Kuje Correctional Facility, pending the hearing and determination of the homicide-related suit instituted against him by the Attorney General of the Federation.
However, reports had it on Tuesday that Mr. Nwachukwu was among the inmates that escaped when The Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) attacked the custodial centre.
However, some Nigerians who were shocked over the development, said the suspect could only run but cannot hide.
Some believe that he truly committed the crime, hence the decision to escape from custody.
