Oyi Elders Consultative Forum Endorses Soludo’s Reelection

Oyi Elders Consultative Forum (OECF) has endorsed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for a second term.

endorsement was adopted during their Inauguration and opening of their office
through a motion moved by the Mayor of Oyi Local Government Area, Hon. Emma Nweke and seconded by High Chief Elo Gwacham.

Hon. Nweke in his speech lauded the noble initiative of the founders and pledged his fervent support, harped on the continuous unity among the communities in Oyi LGA.

The patron of the forum and chairman of Osisioma Foundation, Elder Dr Chike Obidigbo, in his remark, urged the people of Oyi especially those in various authorities to invest more on human capital development which he said, accelerates all round developments in every society.

In his address the chairman of OECF and the former President General of Nteje community, Chief Hon Chidiebele Obika
described the forum as coming together of strong stakeholders from different political parties in Oyi including non partisan persons to forge a common course for the interest of ndi Oyi.

Obika who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media, thanked Prof. Soludo for all the things he has done and is doing for the good people of Oyi.

He also used the opportunity to list some of the roads that need attention including Eke Igwe Nteje-Nando road, Nkwelle Ezunaka-Nteje Airport road, Umunya-Ogbunike road etc.

Agbata, who stated this while attending the unveiling of a modern healthcare and ICT facility build by Chief Onuorah Osonwa in Obunagu, Awka South, Local Government Area of the State, affirmed the agency’s mandate to advocate for and support interventions that align with Governor Soludo’s vision of bringing digital tools and knowledge closer to the people advancing his ‘Everything Technology, Technology Everywhere’ mantra.

* Parents who have children at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State, will be receiving timely notification of their wards’ performances online from next academic session.

Acting Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Joseph Ikechebelu disclosed this at the celebration of the 2025 World Book Day organized by the University Library.

He said students were already receiving results of their examinations on their handheld devices immediately the exercises were over.

Ikechebelu attributed the strides to improved digitization processes in the university and commitments of Faculty Deans and Heads of Departments, especially in approving students’ results.

According to them, the tour was part of their two-day 2025 South East Traditional Rulers Council Delegates Meeting, which commenced today, Tuesday, 29th April 2025, at the International Convention Centre, Awka.

The meeting aimed to foster unity and promote regional development.

* The Managing Director of Anambra Small Business Agency (ASBA), Sir Clem Chukwuka, provided workers with a guide on how to get loans through the newly introduced Civil Service Solution, Soft Loan Empowerment Program to support their monthly earnings.

Mr. Chukwuka, who described the scheme as a life saving opportunity for civil servants, said that the loan comes with cheaper interest rate as against the 25-40% interest rate loans which workers access from other financial companies.

The ASBA boss encouraged workers to access funds to help them in developing farms and other micro businesses which could augment their income and Help them secure a happy retirement.

He explained that since the loan was on indemnity, clearance must be gotten from the office of the Head Departments of all the individual members forming co-operative societies , and the debt profiles of such individuals must be analyzed before funds are released to the cooperative society for onward distribution amongst themselves.

* Ahead of Governorship election in Anambra State, the Chieftain of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Hon. Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu has tasked party chairmen, women and youth leaders to be formidable and united in working for the victory of Governor Soludo and the APGA party in the forthcoming governorship election.
