* The Transition Committee Chairman of Ayamelum Local Goverment Area, Chief Livinus Onyenwe has described Governor Chukwuma Soludo as an uncommon administrator who came to reposition the socioeconomic landscape of Anambra state. Chief Onyenwe disclosed this while taking newsmen round all the projects Governor Soludo is currently embarking on in Ayamelum Local Goverment Area, alongside members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and other stakeholders. Addressing the press, the Ayamelum mayor said that Governor Soludo has done a lot for ndi Anambra, and Ayamelum people in particular, hence the need to tell the world of the Governor’s developmental strides in the area.

* Anambra State has witnessed a groundbreaking event as the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) initiative, a federal government program aimed at empowering Nigerian youths with tech skills recently hosted a Networking Meetup at the IDK Learning Centre in Awka. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including the 3MTT Community Manager for Anambra State, Somto Akujuruobi, who expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his Renewed Hope Agenda and to Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for his efforts in making Anambra a digital tribe. Mr. Akujuruobi also lauded the Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani for spearheading the 3MTT initiative along with IHS Tower and NITDA for their significant support in fostering the initiative’s goals in Nigeria.

* The 18 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries in Anambra State civil service has held a two-day capacity building workshop organised for them by the state government. Declaring the event opened, the Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe tasked the Permanent Secretaries on team work with their Commissioners, colleagues and even subordinates, as well as doing things that are in line with the vision and missions of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.

* The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Central Police Station, Onitsha, Anambra State, Mr. Rabiu Garba has educated the Catholic Men Organization (CMO), of St. Augustine’s Catholic Parish, Omeife 3’3, Nkwelle-Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area, on bail condition and other issues.
Speaking as a guest lecturer, the DPO disclosed that there are three types of bails which the public should be aware of and know when they are applicable.
According to Garba, the three included, Police bail, Court bail and Appeal court bail, stating that in the police bail case, that bail is free. On the issue of holding a proxy responsible for an offence he did not commit, the DPO stated that it is illegal to do so, maintaining that only those who commit the offence should be held responsible.

* The Department of Nursing Sciences of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam has held its 2024 Nurses Week and Parents Interactive Forum with the Vice-Chancellor and Healthy Living Lecture Series with Nonye Soludo. The event held at the University premises in Igbariam, has as its theme: “Promoting Healthy Living Through Nursing Care Practice”. In her presentation, the wife of the Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo represented by the Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike, said she is championing healthy living programme, teaching people how they can live healthy lives by consuming natural foods. Mrs Soludo who is also the Founder Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo noted that there are a lot of diseases especially the non- communicable ones like diabetes and high blood pressure which can be reversed through change in diet and lifestyle.

* South Eastern investors have been challenged to look inwards to opportunities in exportation against importation. The Export Director of Denca Global Courier, DGC Express, Dr Onyinye Okpah who stated this in Onitsha during a one day seminar on “Cheap Dollars Made Easy, Export Now”, said that exportation is more lucrative and beneficial to the Nigerian economy more than importation.

The seminar championed by DGC Express in collaboration with the Committee on Export of the Anambra State Ministry of Commerce and Industry is aimed at showing businessmen and farmers that what they ordinarily think is nothing means a whole lot in export and that what they need to do is to harness every opportunity, ensure their genuineness and think export thereby earning in dollars.

* The National President of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, (ASATU) and President-General of Eziowelle Improvement Union (EIU), Barr. Titus Akpudo, has described the alleged take over of the town union leadership by “EIU General Assembly” as a ploy by few individuals who are indebted to the community to cause confusion.
Addressing journalists in Awka over the matter, Barr. Akpudo said the recent publication by the group are insignificant, malicious and intended to cause disunity.
Akpudo who stated that Eziowelle has 27 branches, explained that his findings revealed that non of the three branches mentioned in the publication held meetings to arrive at the decision being spread by the same people he said have done similar things after his election into office in 2019.

* Anambra State government has assured ndi Ojoto, a community in Idemil- South Local Government Area that it will
assistance in seeking justice over the gruesome murder of one of their daughters Mrs Ifeoma Ajuluchukwu. Late Mrs Ifeoma Ajuluchukwu allegedly died as a result of injuries inflicted upon her by the step son for a yet to be established scuffle. The Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hon. Ify Obinabo gave this assurance in her office when she received a cross section of residents from Ojoto Community who were protesting the alleged killing of their daughter, Mrs Ifeoma Ajuluchukwu by her step son.
Addressing the protesters, Obinabo thanked them for choosing the right channel to air their grievances, assuring them of government’s assistance in getting justice for the deceased.

* The Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike has hailed Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s investment in the healthcare sector. Obidike said that the governor’s passion in health has helped his ministry to record massive improvement in human resources for health, disease prevention and infrastructure. The Commissioner noted that the state ranked second among the states with the lowest prevalence of Malaria in the country. He said this in Awka while assessing the impact of the interventions in the health sector by Gov. Soludo’s administration.
