* Anambra State Police Command has highlighted some attitudes/behaviors that are seen as a red flag in our children.
According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, recognizing warning behavior is key to understanding and guiding our children. Ikenga stated that sudden changes in personality for example a person known to be an extrovert suddenly becomes introverted or vice-versa.
* Anambra State Coordinator of Keke Drivers Forum (AKDF), Comrade Osita Obi has directed its members to mobilize for protest against continued harassment, intimidation, exploitation and extortion of keke drivers. Obi in a statement urged the members of the Union to seriously mobilize for the protest to draw the attention of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to their plights. Obi said that, Soludo had after listening to the complaints and cries of keke drivers brought the amount payable from N15,000 to N10,000 and further to N8,000 as a result of fuel increase.
* A barrow pusher lost his life after he was involved in a road accident opposite New Autospare Parts Market, Nkpor.
According to an eyewitness, Mr Kingsley Orjiako, the barrow pusher was running away from a revenue collector he saw along the road when a Keke driver trying to reverse to the other side of the road hit him and he fell under amoving tipper. The driver of the tipper which they gave the plate number of the tipper as CDD 523 ZE and the Keke rider ran away when they saw that the man was dead, leaving him in the pool of his blood.
* It was the end of the road for dealers in expired goods in Awka as the Anambra State Ministry of Environment began a widespread check and seizures of expired goods and items in the capital city. The action was in reaction to growing concerns over the potential health risks and environmental impacts associated with such goods and improper disposal practices. Inspectors from the Ministry visited numerous retail establishments, including supermarkets, pharmacies, and local markets, to inspect, verify, and seize expired products, where they made alarming discoveries of expired food products, medications, and cosmetics.Â
* A joint preparatory mission team from the Federal Government and African Development Bank, FGN/AFDB, is in Anambra State for a two-day assessment of the state’s readiness to participate in the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones Programme, SAPZ. The team, drawn from the African Development Bank, Federal Ministry of Agriculture, SAPZ programme and African Rice, was led by the head, African Development Bank SAPZ Initiative, Dr. Chuma Ezedinma. The Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones programme, domiciled in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture to achieve food security, will be assisted by African Development Bank in its phase two project if Anambra State scales through their assessment.
* Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike says that the state is second lowest in Nigeria with Incidences of malaria. Obidike disclosed this while briefing the press in his office in Awka. According to Dr. Obidike, Anambra is second lowest with five percent prevalence rate after Lagos which is the lowest with three percent, adding that the state is working tirelessly to be the lowest with malaria incidence in Nigeria.
* Anambra Police command has arrested seven suspected cultists and armed robbers, recoveres a cut-size double barrel gun, one tricycle without a reg number, and some hard drugs. According to a release by SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer,
Anambra State Command, the suspects include Chukwuemka Ozoekwe age 18 years old, Chidozie Anagor aged 18 years, Chukwuemeka Oyeoka aged 18 years, Ebuka Okoye 17 years, Olisa Obi 19 years, Chidubem Nwakwu 20 years and Nwankwo Kosisochukwu all males. While Makuo Nwosu A.KA ‘Baby’ and one other person whose name is yet to be identified are wanted.
Police attached to Special Anti-Cult Squad SPACSÂ while on patrol at Unizik Junction intercepted all males and five occupants including the driver of a tricycle.Â
* A top stakeholder in the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Benji Obi has condemned what he described as shadowy campaign of calumny against the person of Anambra billionaire and business mogul, Prince Arthur Eze. Chief Obi, a native of Agulu Community in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, made the condemnation while addressing newsmen in Awka, the state capital, during which he also referred to the said campaign against Arthur Eze as weak-hearted effort to disparage the top illustrations son of Igbo land. According to the APGA stalwart, Prince Eze has been made a target of attacks as the campaign season for the 2025 gubernatorial election draws closer in the state.

Some people who testified the good work of Ocha Brigade hinted that sanity and normality have really actualized as many people have realized the importance of self respect by not defecating faeces and urinating anyhow in the public places especially Upper Iweka express way down to Bridge-Head.
