The founder of Streams of Joy International, Jerry Eze, has shared that after leaving his corporate job, he began to question whether he had genuinely heard from God.
During a recent appearance at the WithChude Live event, the 42-year-old internet personality admitted that only a month after stepping away from his corporate role, he began to feel as though he had made a major mistake.
Eze, who leads the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration (NSPPD), previously worked as a communications expert on HIV/AIDS projects for the World Bank and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
“I remembered one month after I had resigned. I thought I made the biggest mistake of my life. You read Bible. You pray. I felt like can God really make me jobless because I love to do something,” he said.
Eze explained that he eventually came to see that the season of uncertainty was a divine arrangement—an essential period of preparation for the influential ministry that is now visible to the world.
He shared that his reason for opening up about his story was to motivate and offer hope to those who may be dealing with similar struggles in their own lives.
“But I knew that that was the time of being set apart for preparation for the what the world is witnessing right now,” he said.
“If you have been tempted, someone wants to know how tempted were you. If you ever tried to give up, someone wants to know how did you try to give up. We are just part of the big picture that God is creating.”
