Nigerian singer and record producer John Saviours Udomboso, known professionally as Young Jonn, has explained why he cannot commit to just one romantic partner, attributing it to his “free” nature and long-standing beliefs about relationships.
Speaking on actress Toke Makinwa’s podcast Toke Moments, Young Jonn rejected traditional ideas of monogamy, saying that ever since childhood he “questioned why it has to be one man, one woman.” He said his desire to “explore different routes” reflects his personal philosophy rather than his status in the music industry.
He admitted uncertainty about marriage, noting he might consider it only if he meets someone who changes his perspective. Meanwhile, Young Jonn emphasized that “being free” doesn’t necessarily mean being promiscuous, but that he resists limitations in love.
