Controversial Nigerian street-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly addressed veteran rapper Olamide, claiming the latter’s decision not to sign him to the YBNL record label will ultimately lead to regret.
The singer, known for his breakthrough hit “Zazoo Zeh,” took to social media to air a long-standing grievance, asserting that Olamide neglected him because Portable had “fought for my own right.”
Portable maintained confidence in his current career trajectory, crediting divine help and the backing of international rapper Skepta for his growing success. He issued a pointed warning to the music mogul, stating, “You will regret not signing me. I believe in God, my phone, and sub. Any disappointment is a blessing, Zazuu, I am blessed internationally, I get fan base.”
He concluded his message with a defiant statement directed at those he believes impeded his progress: “God of Zazuu is coming for you people too those who dey block my ways i believe i can fly star don’t beg to shine.” Olamide has yet to publicly respond to Portable’s comments.
