Nnaemeka Oraka has officially declared his intention to contest for a seat in the Anambra State House of Assembly, seeking to represent Njikoka Constituency II in the forthcoming election.
Oraka, a grassroots mobilizer and community advocate from Nimo in Njikoka Local Government Area, made his declaration today in Nimo amid growing political activities across Anambra State. His decision to join the race is seen by supporters as a strategic move aimed at deepening grassroots representation and attracting more developmental projects to the constituency.
Speaking during the declaration, Oraka emphasized his commitment to effective legislation, youth empowerment, and improved infrastructure across communities that make up Njikoka Constituency II — Abagana, Abba, and Nimo. He noted that the constituency deserves vibrant and responsive representation that will prioritize the welfare of the people and ensure their voices are strongly represented at the state level.
He pledged to focus on job creation initiatives, educational support programs, and policies that will stimulate small and medium-scale enterprises within the constituency. According to him, fostering collaboration between community leaders, political stakeholders, and the state government will be central to delivering meaningful development.
Njikoka Constituency II, comprising Abagana, Abba, and Nimo within Njikoka Local Government Area, has remained politically active in recent years, with constituents increasingly demanding accountability, transparency, and inclusive governance.
Political observers say Oraka’s entry into the race is likely to reshape the dynamics of the contest as aspirants position themselves ahead of party primaries.
In a show of solidarity, Sir JC Mmaduka and other political stakeholders pledged their support to Oraka, stressing that the general interest of Nimo and the entire Njikoka Constituency II must remain paramount.
As campaigns gradually gather momentum, residents of the constituency will be watching closely to assess the vision, capacity, and preparedness of those seeking to represent them in the Anambra State House of Assembly.
