Bishop Ezeofor Charges Fathers To Be Driving Force In Raising Godly Generation

The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Rt. Rev. Samuel Ezeofor, has emphasized that fatherhood is far more than a title, describing it as a position that demands commitment, responsibility, and dedication.

Speaking on the significance of International Father’s Day, celebrated annually on the third Sunday of June, Bishop Ezeofor expressed concern that many fathers are falling short of their responsibilities within their families and society.

He called for a positive change in attitude among fathers to enable them fulfill their God-given roles effectively.

The cleric, who also serves as the National Chairman of the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion Nigeria, urged Christian fathers to take the lead in the Church’s efforts to raise a godly generation capable of building a God-fearing and egalitarian society.

Describing fathers as the pillars and pastors of their homes, Bishop Ezeofor encouraged them to be exemplary in character and conduct wherever they find themselves. He also stressed the importance of investing in the education of their children, noting that such commitment is essential for securing a brighter future for the next generation.
