The Etsu of Patigi, alongside the Emir of Lafiagi, Emir of Tsaragi and other top officials, officially commissioned the Tsoede Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre in Patigi, Patigi Local Government Area, Kwara State On January 3, 2025.
The newly established CBT centre has the capacity to accommodate 288 candidates for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations and other assessments that require computer-based testing.
Mr. Mohammed Baba Jiyah, the administrator of the CBT centre, highlighted the primary objectives behind the establishment of the facility.
He emphasized that the centre aims to promote digital education and significantly reduce the stress experienced by local residents when preparing for JAMB and other computer-based examinations.
By providing a dedicated space for these tests, the CBT centre is expected to enhance accessibility and convenience for candidates in the region, ultimately contributing to improved educational outcomes.
According to the CBT centre administrator, Mr. Mohammed Baba Jiyah, the centre aims to promote digital education, reduce stress for indigenous students taking JAMB and other CBT-based exams.
The centre has already successfully hosted the School of Health Technology national exam and TRCN exam.
Notably, the JAMB board has accredited the centre to commence 2025 JAMB registration, scheduled to begin on January 15, 2025, and end on February 26, 2025.
In a significant event, Hon.Dr. Ahmed Adamu Saba, Alh. Abdulkadir Attairu Adamu, Dr. Baba Jiyah Kolo, and Dr. Mahmud Umar Muhammad delivered goodwill messages, acknowledging the efforts of the Etsu of Patigi in establishing a new educational project.
Dignitaries in attendance included the Emir of Lafiagi, Emir of Tsaragi,Dr.Mahmud Umar Muhammad,Dr.Baba jiyah Kolo,Alh.Abdulkadir Attairu Adamu, Kwara State commissioner for Water Resources,Hon.Dr.Ahmed Adamu Saba,Hon.Mohammed Kareem Musa and the member representing Edu state Constituency, among others.
