Tech billionaire Elon Musk has predicted a major leap in healthcare with artificial intelligence, saying new tools can already help interpret complex medical scans such as MRIs and PET scans.
Speaking at a town hall event in Philadelphia, Musk said his AI platform, Grok, is capable of analyzing scans uploaded by users and offering probable diagnoses, which patients and doctors can compare against clinical assessments.
“You can literally upload your image to Grok…and it will tell you what it thinks the probable issue is,” Musk said, describing the technology as a breakthrough that could support medical professionals and empower patients.
The Tesla and SpaceX chief added that the technology’s potential in medicine is “incredible,” stressing its ability to improve accuracy, expand access to healthcare insights, and strengthen decision-making in critical cases.
